Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE)

Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE) is administered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) with the examination centre at Government Polytechnic Kohima and any Polytechnic as decided by the Director, Technical Education.

The Controller of Examination is responsible for conducting DEE bringing out the Merit list of ITI/12th Passed Lateral entry. The DEE Results are declared in a one week time after conducting the exam successfully. Reservation of Female, Non-local and PWD candidates will be as per reservation policy and merit.

On the basis of this test following 3 year diploma study programmes are offered in Nagaland

4. Electronics & Communication Engineering
5. Civil Engineering
6. Electrical & Electronics Engineering
7. Mechanical Engineering

DEE Eligibility

The Candidate must have passed HSLC examination with Mathematics and Science for
Engineering (Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science &
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering), for Architecture Assistantship & Interior Design passed HSLC/10+ with Maths, Science and aggregate of 55% or HSSLC/12+(Science) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) and aggregate of 50% and for Fashion Technology (FT) a candidate must have passed HSLC.

DEE Exam Pattern

The Diploma Entrance Exam (DEE) for Engineering Course shall be conducted through a
single question paper as per the following details:
  • Mathematics : 35 Marks
  • Science : 35 Marks
  • English : 15 Marks
  • General Knowledge : 15 Marks
  • And for Diploma in Fashion Technology question paper will be
  • General Knowledge : 35 Marks
  • General English : 35 Marks
  • Maths : 15 Marks
  • Science : 15 Marks
All questions will be of objective type and each question carries one mark. Each question is
followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and tick the appropriate choice of answer with blue/black pen.

DEE Syllabus

The syllabus for the Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE) shall be
that of Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) standard-X syllabus.
